& Many More

DO Eat Fruits & Veg

Why? Fresh fruits and veg contain vital antioxidants than help to repair, protect and brighten skin. Polluted air, smoking and UV exposure causes free radical damage to the skin, this means the oxygen cells within the skin are being destroyed. Antioxidants help to repair this damage, improve elastin production and increase circulation.

Which foods? Betacarotene rich fruits and veg such as pumpkin, carrots and sweet potato and Lutein found in kale, papaya and spinach are potent due their conversion into vitamin a when ingested. Vitamin C is considered a super antioxidant! this can be found in blackcurrants, blueberries, broccoli, guava, kiwi fruits, oranges, papaya, strawberries and sweet potatoes

DON'T Eat High Sugar Foods

Why? High sugar consumption causes a reaction known as glycation within the skin. This reaction results in inflammation within the skin, therefore creating wrinkly, saggy and aged skin. As we age our bodies find it harder to break down this sugary reaction and uv exposure accelerates the speed in which glycation affects us.

Which foods? It's not only sweets and chocolates that can cause negative responses. Carbohydrates convert into sugar during the digestion process - so all things in moderation should keep this at bay! Plenty of alcoholic beverages can also cause glycation, that's the cause of the swollen feeling some people feel after having an alcohol fuelled evening. These higher sugars can cause an outbreak in those suffering from acne

DO Drink water

Why? I am sure that it is common knowledge by now that drinking plenty of water is benifical to the body in numerous ways, but how does it target your skin? Studies have shown that drinking 3-4L of water per day can help target weightloss & raging. It makes sense as our body's are 64% water, so restoring and replenishing would be simps logical. Stars such as Jennifer aniston and Gabrielle Union have sworn by drinking up to a GALLON of water per day to maintain their radiance, so get to chugging!

It is necessary to note that drinking too much water can be harmful, please consume responsibly!

DON'T Eat Dairy Rich Foods

Why? Most dairy products contain hormones, these hormones can be beneficial for growth in humans and animals, but can also cause a growth in acne. A change in our own hormones can irritate the sebaceous gland which makes our skin more oily... because that's just what we need, more oil... This this allows bacteria to form therefore, triggering breakouts and congestion.

Which foods? Milk, cheese, yoghurt, eggs, you name it! We suggest introducing alternative diary products into your diet such as almond milk or coconut milk. This does not mean completely taking dairy out, but lessening it should benefit your skin, moderation is always advised.
